Andreas is a character of the day who appeared in Hook, Line, and Stinker (EP170). Andreas was a competitor in the Seaking Catching Competition in Johto who was also distinguished from his victories in other fishing tournaments. He had a very arrogant attitude, especially towards Misty and her Poliwhirl. Andreas had a habit of calling Misty "Red", often referred to her Pokémon as weak, and claimed that his Poliwrath was far superior and would therefore win the competition. Misty and Andreas both ended up capturing a prize-winning Seaking. They had to battle each other to decide who would be the winner, with Misty using her Poliwhirl against his Poliwrath.
