He is the older twin brother of Keisuke Wanima and when first arriving at Blue Lock was a member of Team W. After barely surviving First Selection and losing his brother in their pursuit to become the best in the world, Junichi resolves himself to work hard and make up for the loss he and his brother suffered in Blue Lock for both their sakes. Out of the original 300 forwards, Junichi is one of the 35 left that have made it through the initial trials of Blue Lock. Junichi is a fairly tall young man, with large black eyes and spiky hair. He has crocodile-shaped eyebrows, and is commonly seen frowning or grinning alongside his brother Keisuke. Along with his twin brother, Junichi thinks of himself as superior to others and only acknowledges his fellow twin.
