Cranberry was a soldier of the Frieza Force until he deserted. He was among those on Planet Frieza 79 picked by Dodoria and Zarbon to invade Namek. In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Moro sets him free and he pilots Moro to New Namek. He also assists him in collecting the Namekian Dragon Balls.
