Fuchi is the 9th ranked Asaemon in the Yamada Clan. After the shogun ordered criminals to find the Elixir of Life from the dangerous island called Kotaku, Fuchi was tasked to keep watch over the criminal Tamiya Gantetsusai as his executioner. Even though the Yamada clan mainly deals with executions, Fuchi on the other hand, preferred studying the human anatomy to improve medical science that came with the trade. Fuchi believed that anatomical research can help save lives. Even though Fuchi was passionately intrigued with human anatomy and would never pass up a chance to dissect anyone, he was also a kind and selfless person who put others' lives before his.
