Michio Hoshino is a smart boy in the same grade as the other boys who is a victim of bullying. He is knowledgeable in local legends and folklore. Through his friendship with Masayuki, who rescued Hoshino from the upperclassmen tormenting him, Hoshino begins to hang out with Tarou and the others.
