During a quest to subdue wyverns, A-rank adventurer Kaiser Clyde witnesses an ancient dragon awaken from its slumber, fly to a nearby village, and immediately destroy it. In the aftermath, Kaiser frantically searches for survivors and finds three babies among the rubble.
